The Opportunity

We're adding an engineer to a growing team supporting internal AI applications built by Claude. Business teams across the organization are shipping their own apps fast - and they need someone technical to get that code production-ready, deployed, and running.

This isn't greenfield engineering. It's about taking working-but-rough code from non-engineers, making it solid, getting it through security review, and deploying it onto AWS EKS. Then keeping it alive. You'll work directly with the people who built these apps, so communication matters as much as the technical depth.

What you'll be doing

Most apps follow the same pattern: React/JS frontend, FastAPI backend, some combination of AWS RDS and object storage, and Claude API with MCP connectivity. You'll review and finalize the code, handle basic security compliance, deploy to EKS, and support the apps ongoing. Across a number of workstreams running in parallel.

Your Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with non-technical stakeholders who built the apps themselves

• Review and finalize code from citizen developers (React/JS frontends, FastAPI backends)

• Handle security compliance and prepare apps for enterprise security review

• Deploy applications to AWS EKS and manage ongoing operations

• Work across multiple parallel workstreams simultaneously

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong Python and FastAPI - able to pick up someone else's codebase without full context

• Comfortable reading and fixing React/JavaScript

• Hands-on AWS experience with Kubernetes in production (EKS specifically)

• Familiarity with Claude API, MCP connectivity, and agent architectures

• Security awareness in large enterprise environments - ability to spot data leaks, unauthorized access points, and IAM misconfigurations

• Experience reviewing and hardening code written by non-engineers before it goes to production

• Strong ownership mindset - you're accountable for the final quality of what gets deployed

• Fluent English, clear communication with non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have:

• Experience with citizen developer or internal tooling projects

• Security background (OWASP basics, secret management)

• Exposure to financial services or regulated environments

• Hands-on experience with Terraform
