1. Plain-language summary
If you're unhappy with a recent charge from JobRemotely, you can request a refund within 7 calendar days. We process eligible refunds within 5 business days back to the original payment method.
There are two things you might have paid for:
- The $4.99 one-time commitment fee charged at offer-accept time.
- A Premium subscription (monthly, quarterly, or annual).
Both are refundable for 7 days. After that, we may still refund at our discretion — email us and ask.
2. Offer commitment fee ($4.99)
The commitment fee is a one-time charge taken when you accept forwarding terms for a role through JobRemotely. It covers our vetting cost (skills test + English check + interview review) and signals to the company that the candidate is serious.
You can request a full refund of the commitment fee if any of the following is true:
- You request the refund within 7 calendar days of the charge.
- JobRemotely fails to forward your application to the company.
- You discover material misrepresentations about the role (compensation, location, scope) that were not disclosed during the interview.
Once your application has been forwarded to the company, the vetting service was delivered and the fee is no longer refundable — even if the company decides not to move forward. The fee covers our work, not the company's decision.
4. How to request a refund
Email support@jobremotely.io with the following:
- Your account email.
- The Stripe payment intent ID — visible on the receipt PDF you received after the charge.
- A one-sentence reason. (Helps us improve, not gatekeeping.)
We respond within 1 business day with confirmation or follow-up questions. Refunds appear on your statement within 5 business days, depending on your card issuer.
5. Non-refundable items
The following are not refundable:
- Commitment fees on applications that have already been forwarded to the company (vetting service was provided).
- Premium charges older than 7 days where the criteria in section 3 are not met.
- Resume one-time PDF purchases once the PDF has been generated and downloaded.
