About this role
the company is seeking a skilled Developer Team Lead who is passionate about writing code and excited to lead a small team of engineers. This person should embrace Servant Leadership and be passionate about empowering their team to grow and succeed. The Developer Team Lead should also have excellent programming skills and a deep passion for developing large applications.
At the company Our goal is to minimize meetings so that you can focus on what you do best: building. We understand the importance of flexibility, which is why we offer flexible working hours that allow you to work when you’re most productive. We aim to foster a collaborative environment that avoids unnecessary bureaucracy, enabling every team member to influence the product. Our team and culture are built around experienced individuals who enjoy discussing interesting challenges and sharing knowledge, ensuring there is always support and inspiration readily available. We encourage asking questions, challenging assumptions, and collaborating across functions to achieve successful outcomes.
Being a part of the team you will:
Use software like PHP 8.4, Laravel 11 and PostgreSQL.
Lead and guide one engineering team to plan, build, and deliver high-quality software while optimizing code, managing resources, and ensuring timely delivery.
Oversee hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews, contributing to team and company growth.
See that our goal is to minimize meetings, allowing you to focus on what you do best: building.
Our flexible working hours mean you can work when you’re most productive.
This is a collaborative space and avoids unnecessary bureaucracy, so every team member influences the product.
Our team has many experienced people who love discussing interesting challenges and sharing knowledge, so there’s always support and inspiration around every corner.
Be committed to continually improving our codebase, reducing legacy code, adding tests, and keeping things up-to-date.
The DevOps team is responsible for infrastructure, so you can focus on development. Our pipelines are set up with PHPStan, PHPCS, unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, all supporting automatic deployments.
Learn that our philosophy is to write code that’s easy to test and reason about. By structuring business logic in clear PHP classes, separate from the framework, we avoid complex, 'magical' solutions that complicate understanding and testing.
We have a fairly big modular monolith. The interactions between modules are based on facades, adapters, or events, helping us maintain strong boundaries and modularity. In our more intricate modules, we incorporate DDD to keep the domain logic well-structured and business-aligned.
What type of person are we looking for?
We’re looking for engineers who care about impact, not just implementation. You won’t just take tickets and ship code, you’ll help shape the solution.
We value teammates who think beyond their “part,” who want to understand the why behind the work, and collaborate to find the best path forward.
Someone proactive who brings fresh ideas and energy to the team
A developer with grit and a drive to tackle tough challenges
A person excited to be part of a transformative project that could reshape the industry
Skills and Experience needed or preferred:
Communicative English at a B2 level or higher.
Extensive experience building scalable applications, ideally with large-scale systems like CRM, CMS, or ERP. Direct SaaS experience is a strong plus.
Advanced proficiency in PHP 8.1+ and modern frameworks like Laravel or Symfony, with experience in modular monolith and layered architecture.
Strong focus on framework-agnostic development, prioritizing clean, maintainable code that maximizes business value and minimizes dependencies.
Thorough knowledge of automated testing frameworks (e.g., PHPUnit) and robust testing strategies, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code.
Experience managing a team of developers and being responsible for delivering multiple complex projects.
Benefits of Working with Us:
We provide high-performance company laptops for optimal productivity.
Unlimited PTO lets you take the time you need to recharge.
One-time $500 office budget to set up your workspace.
$50 monthly for educational resources, rolling over until year-end.
Licenses for tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code and PhpStorm.
Stock options so you can share in the company’s growth.
