Python Developer with React (f/m/x)

We are looking for a skilled Senior Python Developer to join our team working on SPAM, a web-based platform that utilizes high-performance computing clusters for antibody sequence analysis. In this role, you will collaborate with both local and offshore engineering teams to tackle scientific software engineering challenges and contribute to the development of sustainable and reusable software solutions. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in Poland. Your tasks

• Developing tools for data analysis with a focus on sustainability and reusability

• Collaborating with agile teams to iteratively solve scientific software engineering challenges

• Building and maintaining front-end applications using React.js and TypeScript

• Implementing back-end services using Python, Django, and Celery

• Designing and integrating REST and GraphQL APIs for data interaction

• Managing source code using GitHub and ensuring adherence to best practices in software engineering

• Performing testing using frameworks such as pytest and optionally e2e testing with Playwright

• Utilizing RDBMS and NoSQL databases like Postgres and MongoDB for data storage and retrieval

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in developing tools for data analysis

• Strong expertise in Python, with practical experience in Django and Celery

• Proven frontend development skills using React.js and TypeScript

• Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs

• Familiarity with source code management using GitHub

• Solid understanding of RDBMS and NoSQL databases, particularly Postgres and MongoDB

• A strong focus on testing practices, including experience with pytest

• Fluent English

Nice-to-have requirements

• Knowledge of AWS

• Basic understanding of biological domain concepts and data analysis skills

• BS or higher in bioinformatics, computer science, or a related field
